Some of you visitors may have made your way here through a link on The Register. I was a recent guest on an Ashlee Vance Semi-Coherent Computing Meatcast where we discussed the x86 server market, x86 virtualization, and a few other topics. It was a lot of fun, even though I had a severe cold, and many thanks to Ashlee for having me on his show. And BTW, I was trying to sound like a stuttering, mumbling, idiot….
If you are interested in the data I was discussing on the call, it was gathered through our 2Q x86 Server Vendor Preference survey, and we should be releasing more public data in the next week or so. You will be able to find the press release and associated information here on the site. Speaking of the GCG site, this version of it is fairly new. The blog section (what you’re reading now) is where we can quickly respond to industry news, but is also used to air grievances, vent rage, and settle scores. For more serious content, you can find free GCG research reports in our Recent Research section, and a selection of our not-so-free reports in our Research Warehouse. If you have any comments, concerns, complaints, issues, or need to serve us papers for your lawsuit, feel free to use the “Contact Us” link to let us know. Thanks for stopping by…
