It’s not too hard for GCG staff to find smart technology people to explain stuff to us. It is, however, hard to find someone this smart – meet Dave Turek, head of IBM’s Deep Computing division. In this interview available on The Register, Turek talks to our own Dan Olds about exascale computing. Exascale computers are the next HPC milestone; increasing our top current compute speed by 1,000X will open new worlds of development and research. But major roadblocks stand in the way, and Turek is the guy who knows what they are and how we might surmount them. Find out what the future holds here.
